600cc Too Fast for the Streets Next Bike Slower

I keep it REAL and RAW in this video. I divulge a confession I’ve been holding secret for a long time now about my beloved 2008 Honda CBR600rr. I’m throttle crank junkie with a need for speed and it’s time to do something about it. Check out this latest installment….. Rated R Parental Discretion is advised.

  1. Whats up bro. Just in response to you asking about a dual sport bike, I’ve been riding in the dirt since I was a little kidd. I can tell you dirt bikes are a lot of fun. But if your not going to jumping 15 – 20 feet in the air the is really no reason to get a racing dirt bike like a CR. I had a CR 125 in my early 20s and it was a great bike, lots of torque very lightwieght ( i think it was under 200#s) I had tons of fun on that bike for sure. But the older i got and the less I was willing to hurl myself 20 feet in the air the more I just wanted to cruze aound on the trails and enjoy the ride. A dual sport is the way to go for what it sounds like your wanting to do for sure. Like you said you would have to get a truck witch could coast you 5 to 10k for a decent one. Save that money and get a sweet bike. There are a hugh rang of differant tires to choose from to fit what you were you want to take the bike most ( on or off road). I will also tell you that I dont think a 250 will suit your needs either. You gotta take into consideration that on a dual sport you only have one cylinder. So the power your going to get out of it will be no were near what a 250 street twin or i4 is going to give you. I would be looking at the 450 and up range maybe even a 650. Either way the bike is going to be much lighter than a street bike. But if Iwere you I would just go to the dealer a test drive a few befor making my final decision. I’ve seen a lot of your vids and I can tell you like to get to places were you can be by yourself to clear your head sometimes. You can get places on a dual sport that are out in the middle of B.F.E. Also that style of riding gives you a differant set of challenges than ridding on the street alone gives you. As far as what kind of dual sport to get… If it were up to me on any bike, you can never go wrong with a Honda. I hope this helps you out in some way bro. Have fun be safe and God bless.

    • Hey thanks Eric for your insight. I really appreciate you taking the time to drop the info. You are right a dual sport is probably best for me. Although I generally like to stick with Honda I hear the Suzuki DZR400 sounds like it could fit the bill. It probably won’t be until next year when I get the bike. Also, I never plan on getting rid of my 600rr and I will continue to ride it on the streets but I will need to be easier on the throttle. lol Take care and God Bless!

      • Hey whats up man? I have riddin a Suzuki dual sport although it was a 350 it was a nice bike for sure and the friend of mine that owns the bike swears by Suzuki dual sports. So if I wasn’t going to get a Honda XR it would be a Suzuki for sure, so I think it would be a great chioce. On a side note it would be nice to have to differant types of bikes so keeping the 600rr would be sweet for sure. Also sorry about all the typos on my last post, lol, I type a lil fast for my own good. Keep it safe bro.

        • Cool thanks for your insight! I appreciate it. I’m going to do some research and take my time. If I get another bike it probably won’t be until next year. take care!
