You Need a FAST Motorcycle

I address the haters saying I need to get back on a fast motorcycle again.

Ever since I got my Yamaha MT-07 I have received some hate from some people for not getting a super bike. However, no matter what motorcycle I’ve ever had  (had 12 bikes!) I got some hate regardless. Nobody is immune to hate, no motorcycle is immune to hate. Are Naked Motorcycles BETTER Than Supersport Motorcycles?

The truth about whether a naked motorcycle is better than a supersport motorcycle.

Naked motorcycles are extremely popular now unlike supersport motorcycles. However, back in the days a lot of us sportbike riders were riding supersport motorcycles on the street. Now there is no need to ride around on the streets on a motorcycle that has an uncomfortable race oriented riding position like on a supersport. These days there are a plethora of naked motorcycles that are just as fast as supersport motorcycles but has a much more upright comfortable riding position and the bikes are tuned for more low down grunt that makes street riding fun. On most supersport motorcycles you have to rev the bike higher in the RPMs to get more power and lower in the RPMs these bikes are “gutless.”. However, is a naked really that much better than a supersport motorcycle? There was a time when 600cc supersport motorcycles were very popular, especially the Yamaha YZF-R6, Suauki GSX-R600 and Honda CBR600RR sueprsport motorcycles. So many people used to ride the Yamaha R6, you’d see them everywhere, now you hardly see the bikes, at least not like you used to.

Times have changed.

Recently, it was announced that the once popular supersport motorcycle Yamaha YZF-R6 has been discontinued. Supersports and super bikes are severely losing popularity these days. It’s the end of an era where people who wanted a really fast bike got a super sport or super bike to ride on the street.

However, times have changed and supersports and super bikes are no longer the motorcycles most people want for street riding these days.
