However, what people don’t realize is often times the reason people crash is because the rider lacks defensive riding skills the could’ve helped prevent them from getting into a crash in the first place.

When it comes to defensive riding, having braking skills is a must. Many people who crash often lack simple braking skills and preparedness.

A stupid mistake many riders make that can be deadly.

It’s unfortunate that many motorcycle riders crash because of stupid mistakes. Often times, motorcycle instructors don’t teach everything you need to know to keep you safer on the street. You will never be 100% safe on a motorcycle, but the same thing can be said about just living your life. Truth is you are never safe, not even sitting on your couch in your house, your own body can attack you! So don’t be afraid to do what you enjoy in life, you only live one life, enjoy it as much as you can. The next second, let alone tomorrow, is not promised to any of us!

However, there are many things you can do that will greatly reduce your risk of crashing on a motorcycle.

If you have ever experienced a tank slapper aka “death wobble” on your motorcycle you’ll likely never forget it. A tank slapper can be a very scary experience.

A tank slapper is where the motorcycle can violently shake at speed that can lead to loss of control of the bike and could result in a crash. There are various things you can do to prevent and control a tank slapper.
