5 Things I hate about my 2020 Yamaha MT09.

I’ve owned my 2020 Yamaha MT-09 for about six months now. I had a chance to fully test this bike out on the street and highway in stock form as well as with performance mods added. In my humble opinion, I think its a great bike for a really great value.

However, there are some things I don’t like about my Yamaha MT-09, even with performance mods.

2019 Yamaha YZ450FX Supermoto Review 2 Year

2 Year review of my 2019 yamaha YZ450FX supermoto

It’s hard to believe that over two years has passed since I first bought a brand new 2019 Yamaha YZ450FX that I converted to a street-legal supermoto. I have learned a lot after owning a pure race dirt bike converted  for supermoto street use, it has it’s pros and cons like everything else. I’ve had a ton of ups and a few downs, but mostly all ups that I wouldn’t trade for the world

Supermotos are such amazing machines because they allow you to do a little bit of everything in a lightweight torquey wheelie machine package that is very easy to ride and inspires confidence. They are also cheap to insure and easy to work on. Imo, a supermoto is the most fun type of motorcycle that you can ride and I’ve ridden most of the major types of motorcycles including powerful super bikes, sport bikes, dual sports and muscle cruisers.

The new 2021 Yamaha MT-07 is out now! The MT-07 has always been a highly popular motorcycle and one of the best selling street motorcycles on the market. Yamaha hasn’t made many changes to the MT-07 ver the years since its debut in 2015 but it has always been a fun bike to ride that people love.

For 2021, Yamaha decided to make some changes.

The reasons why I’m selling my 2020 Yamaha MT-09.

Riding my 2020 Yamaha MT09 has been really fun and an awesome riding experience on the streets. Prior to purchasing my Yamaha MT09 I did not realize what a cool bike it would be. After modding the MT09 it turned into a beast. Great bike!

However, it’s time to sell my 2020 Yamaha MT09…

2021 Yamaha MT09 – Better Than Ever?

2021 Yamaha MT-09 review.

Yamaha has revealed the all new 2021 Yamaha MT-09! Although the new bike looks a bit similar to the previous generation MT-09, the all new bikes has new changes from the bottom to the top of the bike and internals. The Yamaha MT-09 has always been an awesome street bike with nice low down grunt and soul from that amazing triple cylinder engine, which is all new for 2021!

In this video, I share all the major changes for the new 2021 Yamaha MT-09 and share my thoughts on the changes and my opinion on the previous generation and the changes Yamaha needed to make for the new 2021 model… WATCH VIDEO BELOW!

I’ve owned some of the coolest motorcycles you can buy. Two of the most badass motorcycles I’ve had for the street are the Honda CBR1000rr and my current bike the 2020 Yamaha MT-09. Both are awesome bikes that I enjoyed riding.

You might be thinking, between the Honda CBR1000rr and the Yamaha MT-09, which is better? Although they are two completely different bikes in different classes, you might have a dilemma on which motorcycle to get?

I’ve owned my 2020 Yamaha MT09 since early July and reviewed it in stock form and later on I reviewed it in fully modded form. I’ve covered pretty much everything I could on the bike and kept it real with you all, I did not hold back nor was I biased. Some of you even criticized me for speaking bad about the Yamaha MT09 in stock form.

Many of you are looking to move up to a faster motorcycle and are torn between getting a more budget-friendly fast motorcycle like the Yamaha MT-09 or getting a wallet busting fast motorcycle like the Ducati XDiavel S. Although the XDiavel and MT-09 are in a completely different class, the XDiavel being a muscle cruiser and the MT-09 being a middleweight but torquey street fighter motorcycle, are very comparable and worth considering.

As my regular viewers know, I used to own a 2016 Ducati XDiavel S and I now own a 2020 Yamaha MT-09, so I can give a proper comparison review between the two bikes and help you decide which bike to get.

So you’re ready to move on to a faster motorcycle from your starter motorcycle? You’re probably thinking you should get the fastest motorcycle that always wins the motorcycle shootouts like the Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 Factory that wins every year including this year!

However, the Aprilia Tuono is not cheap! Actually, the Tuono is pretty expensive at $18k+ for a brand new bike. On the other hand, you could get a brand spanking new Yamaha MT-09 for less than $10k ( I paid $9k OTD!) and it’s a pretty fast and fun bike as well.

Are you torn between the Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 Factory and Yamaha MT-09 like I was in the past?

Most torquiest motorcycles ever produced!

So you want a really exhilaratingly fun motorcycle? Many people believe the motorcycle with the most horsepower will be the most fun to ride on the street. If your idea of fun is losing your license and ending up in the jail with the booty warrior or possibly experiencing a horrible and painful death then maybe you should get the fastest bike for the streets. However, most of us enjoy our driving privileges and enjoy our living freedom.

For the streets, pavement pounding TORQUE is what you should want as a major attribute for your motorcycle if you truly want to enjoy riding a motorcycle. This is the reason why I  sold my super bikes in favor of a 450cc supermoto. I got sick of speeding tickets and always looking over my shoulder for cops hiding out waiting to nab me or risking my well being while doing triple digit speeds on the streets.

There is a such thing as slow fun on the streets.

A motorcycle with a shitload of torque will allow your soul to be satisfied on two wheels at slower speeds. Monster torque that will power your front wheel up into a glorious wheelie by merely cranking the throttle off the line. What a great feeling!
