Why there are so many immature hooligan bikers like me with no class. (Lol!)

When I first started riding a motorcycle well over a decade ago I was a much more mature rider than I am now. Depending on the motorcycle you ride, the type of motorcycle you ride can actually regress your maturity level. Lol! I thought I was immature on my sportbike motorcycles in the past but ever since I switched to a dual sport and supermoto motorcycle I am like a teenager all over again and not in a classy way.

However, don’t get it twisted, I’m still a very safe conscious and defensive rider but….

Reasons to not get a Suzuki DRZ 400SM…

Supermotos are hands down the most fun motorcycles you can ride on the streets. With a supermoto you can not only have a lot of fun on the streets but you can also mess around a little off-road as well. I got rid of all of sport bikes and only have a supermoto now and I love it more than any other motorcycle I ever had.

So what supermoto should you get? Many people will tell you to get a Suzuki DRZ 400SM, you can get one at your local dealership and they are already street-legal and ready to go. However, there are reasons I never bought a DRZ400sm and why I wouldn’t recommend them as a first choice.

Why I don’t buy adventure motorcycles.

Adventure motorcycles are very popular these days. The idea of being able to hit the road on your motorcycle and go anywhere on any terrain is very appealing. My most fun times on a motorcycle are riding off-road which is much more fun and challenging than mindlessly beating miles on the pavement.

However, most people don’t actually ride their adventure motorcycle off-road nor are ADV bikes very good at it either.

The perfect size of motorcycle is…

There are a lot of different size engines for motorcycles. Often times many people think the bigger the engine the better the motorcycle is but that is not always true, especially for street riding. I’ve had everything from a 178cc scooter to several 1000cc+ motorcycles and I feel like bigger engine motorcycles can be overrated when it comes to having fun riding in the city.

These days new motorcycles are coming out with more and more horsepower. Honestly, how much horsepower do you really need for a motorcycle? You really don’t need as much horsepower as you might think. However, there is something else you need much more of and what you need to have fun on the streets.

Japan makes some of the most reliable and fun motorcycles. I’ve had Honda and Yamaha motorcycles but have yet to own a Kawasaki motorcycle. Kawasaki makes some great motorcycles, don’t get me wrong, but there are a few reasons I personally never bought a Kawasaki motorcycle.
