The ugly truth about naked motorcycles.

Although naked motorcycles are very popular these days and I love them, there are some bad things about them you should know about. Many people like myself often choose a naked motorcycle over a supersport or super bike motorcycle because the naked motorcycles are more comfortable and better tuned for the street, they have the power where you need it, mostly at the bottom and mid range of the power band. Are Naked Motorcycles BETTER Than Supersport Motorcycles?

The truth about whether a naked motorcycle is better than a supersport motorcycle.

Naked motorcycles are extremely popular now unlike supersport motorcycles. However, back in the days a lot of us sportbike riders were riding supersport motorcycles on the street. Now there is no need to ride around on the streets on a motorcycle that has an uncomfortable race oriented riding position like on a supersport. These days there are a plethora of naked motorcycles that are just as fast as supersport motorcycles but has a much more upright comfortable riding position and the bikes are tuned for more low down grunt that makes street riding fun. On most supersport motorcycles you have to rev the bike higher in the RPMs to get more power and lower in the RPMs these bikes are “gutless.”. However, is a naked really that much better than a supersport motorcycle? Naked Motorcycles Are BAD in the WIND?

The truth about naked motorcycles being notoriously bad in the wind.

You will often hear a person reviewing a naked motorcycle mention that because naked motorcycles have no fairings or wind protection that they are terrible to ride on the highway, that the lack of fairings causes you to get fatigued quickly from the wind. But is that really true? I’ve had multiple naked motorcycles over the years and have spent a lot of time on the highway and on riding on windy days. I will tell you the truth about naked motorcycles in regards to the wind.
