Why I Do a HARD Break-In on a NEW Motorcycle

When you get a brand new motorcycle you are often told that you need to so a soft break-in. The bike’s user manual will usually tell you to keep the bike below five thousand RPMs for the first five hundred miles so the engine will break-in properly. However, I have never followed those instructions and have always done a hard break-in, meaning that I wide open throttle the bike to redline starting at zero miles.
