Any Honda motorcycle you get is going to be a good bike but it depends on what your preferences are. Do you want a supersport with more aggressive ergos or do you want a more upright seating position but with less power?

The 2007 cbr600rr is a fast bike and is probably one of the most comfortable bikes out of the supersport type bike but it’s not going to be as cozy as the x-11. Skip the 954rr.

Hey Digger! Welcome to the motorcycle community! It’s cool to see you want to start riding. You’ll love it. You are smart to get your gear first. If you need any help with information about different bikes please don’t hesitate to ask.

I can only imagine how dangerous it is to ride where you live but you seem like a safety conscious rider so I’m sure you’ll be fine. Best of luck with everything and be sure to post a link to your podcast.

Take care and I wish you a happy and safe new year!

    Best of Luck,
    CC

Hey welcome abdelrhman majid! Imo, I would recommend the 2007 Honda cbr600rr. Definitely skip the 2004 600rr, although it’s a cool bike the low end power is not as good as it is on the 2007/2008 honda cbr600rr. Also, they raised the bars a bit higher on the 2007+ cbr600rr so you’ll have less pressure on your wrists. The Honda hornet 600 is a great bike from what I hear but I think you’ll enjoy the 07 cbr600rr more, the fairings will keep you less fatigued on long trips. As you may know I have a 2008 honda cbr600rr, which is about the same bike as the 2007 and I love it dearly. I’ve ridden over 500 miles continuously in one day and hated to put it away. Hey I wish you the best of luck with the bike you choose. Take care!

Hey 600doubleR! Awesome to hear you saved up your money for a bike and your car is paid off. You are starting off on the right foot and smart to avoid loans. Stay that way the rest of your life and you will do very well financially. As far as getting a 600rr as your first bike is not recommended. It’s way too powerful for a new rider. Some people do well starting on a supersport motorcycle but most don’t. If you have some dirt-bike experience you might be ok. However, if your mom forbids you getting a motorcycle there is really nothing you can do b/c your mom is the boss of you until 18. See if she will be willing to let you have a smaller bike like a ninja 250r, tell her it’s slower and safer. Hopefully she will let you get one. Best of luck to you!

Hey Hobosport! Welcome! Thanks for subscribing! Sorry I’m late replying, I’m still catching up on comments. Yeah the Honda cbr500r would be a great bike to start on. Since you are tall, you’ll fit on the cbr500r much better and you’ll have more than enough power but not too much power to get you into trouble. I wish you the best of luck with your future bike!

    Hey Caleb M! Welcome! I recommend starting on a 250, like a honda cbr250r, a 08+ Kawasaki ninja 250r or a KAwasaki Ninja 300. Best of Luck!

Get the cbr600rr! I highly recommend getting a 2007 or 2008 honda cbr600rr. Skip the 2009+, Honda reduced the hp a bit starting in 2009 due to emissions bs. Also, they put on an ugly engine cover on the cbr600rr starting in 2009. Best of luck! You’ll love the cbr600rr!

@yasier You don’t have to do anything to your bike for a slip-on. Don’t waste your money on a power commander. I would only recommend a PC if you are installing a full exhaust. Best of luck!
